Term & Condition

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Cambodia Tourism Association website and the membership services offered through it (together, the "Website"). The Website is operated by the Cambodia Tourism Association ("CATA", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing the Website, applying for membership, or signing in to a member account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. About CATA

CATA is the association representing Cambodia's tourism businesses and affiliated tourism industry associations. Our office is located at GIA Tower - Entrance Garden Lobby, Floor 16th, Unit No 1615, Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkamorn, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 120101.

2. Use of the Website

The Website provides information about CATA, its management, activities, events, tourism maps, World Heritage sites, career opportunities and documents, in English and Khmer. You may browse and use this information for personal, non-commercial and informational purposes, subject to these Terms.

When using the Website, you agree not to:

  • use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in breach of the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia;
  • submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, or impersonate any person or business;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to member accounts, the member directory, our systems or our data;
  • copy, scrape or harvest member information or contact details, in particular for unsolicited marketing;
  • upload viruses, malicious code or content that is offensive, defamatory or infringes the rights of others;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Website, or place an unreasonable load on it.

3. Membership Applications

Tourism businesses may apply for CATA membership through the online registration form. When you apply, you confirm that:

  • you are authorised to apply on behalf of the business named in the application;
  • all information you provide, including company details, business licence details, key person details and contact information, is true, accurate and up to date;
  • the documents you upload (such as your business licence, tax certificate, permit letter and other certificates) are genuine and valid.

Submitting an application does not guarantee membership. CATA reviews every application and may verify the information provided, request further documents, and approve or reject an application at its discretion in accordance with its statutes and internal regulations. Membership is also subject to the CATA statutes, internal rules, and any fees set by CATA from time to time.

4. Member Accounts

Approved members receive an account to access member-only features, such as the member directory, membership details, certificates, invoices and company profile management. You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login details confidential and not sharing your account with unauthorised persons;
  • all activity carried out under your account;
  • keeping your company information, key persons and social media links accurate and current;
  • informing CATA promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

CATA may suspend or close an account that is misused, that contains false information, or whose membership has expired or been terminated.

5. Member Profiles and Directory

By becoming a member, you agree that CATA may publish your company name, logo, description, business type, contact details, website, social media links and membership status on the Website, including on your public member page, your membership certificate page, and in the member directory. Information about key persons may be shown to other signed-in members.

If you submit personal information about another person (for example, a key person, their photo, position and phone number), you confirm that you have that person's consent to share it with CATA and to have it displayed as described in these Terms.

Information in the member directory is provided to support cooperation within the tourism sector. It must not be used for spam, resale, or any purpose unrelated to legitimate business relationships with CATA members.

6. Membership Certificates and QR Codes

Membership certificates and their QR codes are issued by CATA and remain CATA's property. A certificate is valid only while the membership is active. You must not alter, forge or misrepresent a certificate, or use it after your membership has expired, been suspended or been terminated. Anyone may scan a member's QR code to check that member's certificate and status on the Website.

7. Fees and Invoices

Membership fees, payment terms and renewal periods are set by CATA and communicated to members. Invoices may be made available through your member account. Unless CATA decides otherwise in writing, membership fees that have been paid are non-refundable. Failure to pay fees when due may result in suspension or termination of membership.

8. Content You Submit

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your logo, photos, company description and documents. By submitting it, you grant CATA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, reproduce and display it for the purposes of assessing your application, operating the Website, administering your membership and promoting CATA and its members. You confirm that you have the right to submit this content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

CATA may edit, decline or remove any content that breaches these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on the Website, including text, logos, graphics, photographs, maps and documents, is owned by or licensed to CATA and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or use this content for commercial purposes without CATA's prior written permission. The CATA name and logo may not be used in a way that suggests an endorsement or membership that does not exist.

10. Events, Careers and Third-Party Information

Information about events, activities, tourism sites and job vacancies is provided for general information and may change without notice. Please confirm details with the organiser or employer before making plans or decisions. Where a job vacancy is posted on behalf of a member or another organisation, the recruitment process is the responsibility of that organisation.
